CM THESIS
Grandeur n. having attributes of the sublime; impressive in scale or splendor; majestic Grandeur is the mindset that produces the "awe-factor" some architects strive for. The scale of a building alone can contribute to an effect of grandeur, or it could be more subtle elements. Symmetry in the old sense (a deliberately harmonious balance of elements, rather than a simple mirroring) along with the intelligent use of proportion can also contribute to grandeur. Located in Sa Pa, Vietnam, this site is a breathtaking image that suits grandeur perfectly. The spires of the complex contrast with the stepped terrain, and the grand scale of everything lends the scene a raw beauty.
